Turn skill points into skills
Well we all know that skill points are for the most point useless besides capture signets, and usually only one character on an account may be dedicated to skill capping while the professions themselves have only 50 elites
So how about to actually make the hundreds of unused skill points be used to buy skills or capture signets, because if someone wants to use a new PvE build the 1k per skill is quite annoying, while all in all, tomes are cheaper so people would rarely actually buy them
I'm thinking 10 skill points for one skill/capture signet
Thoughts/ideas?

you use skill points when buying skills regardless of if it is only a cap sig or an actual skill. but otherwise no 1k and 1 skill pt per skill is fine doesn't take that long to earn 1k in game. you also use skill pts whenever you get consumables.

I need to agree, that skillspoints need to have some use. I expect Anet to do something in that way, just like they did with fb. One note: it can't be connected with money, it will cause too many issues.

That would have been nice when I was working on my skill hunter title. It would have saved me over 200k. Oh well...They should make it where skill points have more uses. I think there was another thread suggesting trading them for consumables as well. Not sure if anything will ever be done to change the way it is.

Skill points have enough uses.
About 1235 skills to be used for.
About 13 craftable consumables.
That's 1248 skill points to be used. More then any one of my characters have.
They do need more uses as not everyone will pay 1235k for all skills on even one character, and most people would use skill tomes which don't use up skill points.
However, skill points are already used to get skills, and it is not hard to get 1k in game.
Not to mention, this was suggested several times already (past suggestion(s?) even had the same numbers! 10 skill points for one free skill).
So, /notsigned for suggested idea
But, /signed for more skill point uses.

Actually what could be fun would be to be able to buy Signet of Captures just by trading in one skill point and no money.
The catch?
These siggies would be non-elite capture siggies. Meaning you wouldn't be able to capture an elite with them. You could go out and kill a boss that has the (non-elite) skill you want and and obtain it that way though.
On the suggested topic:
10 skill points for a free skill is way too much! Considering how many raptors you'd have to kill to get that many points - it would be faster to just get that 1k.
So /not signed to the suggested implementation of the idea.

so when u get all the skills in the game, now what do u do?
Still prefer they allowed skill point to be tranfered into zkeys at high rate, like mb 25 skill points per key).
Current idea give them use until ur pve character is UAX, then they are again useless.
And there is no problem giving money to farmers because they farm. Dumbest things i ever hear is people saying farmer should get rewarded for trying to farm money. At least their earned their zkeys unlike the random predictions the majory of zkeys come from.

Here's what comes to mind every time I get a skill by 1sp and 1k.
The hero (of course, that means ME. Lol!) consults with the skill trainer who, in the game, could be a retired trainer renowned of his precise teachings. I ask, "So, you train people techniques of the trade. Can you teach me something?"
Which the trainer will respond, "Why, certainly! There are a couple of skills I can teach you, but under certain conditions. You must prove yourself to be highly capable of my training. One must be skilled to earn skills. Does that makes sense? Well, no matter, since you're scratching over your head. I'm sure you'll do well in your training, anyways. However, the second thing you require for my service is a service fee. What? You thought I'd just teach you willy-nilly just like that? Why? Because you're a 'hero'? I have a life to live here and my job is teaching. Do you expect an officially licensed skill trainer to do his job for FREE? No? I guess not. So, show up with potential and I'll train you the best that is necessary. Provided that I receive one platinum bar per technique I teach you. So, what will it be for today, pupil?"
Of course, in the game things can be off balance, such is the same for this case. 10sp per skill? Hmm... Maybe. I highly doubt that beginners starting off in the game can earn that much fairly quick, or fast enough for when they need it. If 10sp per skill can be implemented after a certain time where it's fair for the beginning characters, awesome. After that point where they are all grown up, then they should earn things the hard way. I myself would love this to happen in the game. That way, we save 1k and everyone wins! The skill trainers will be getting poor, though.

Tons of Characters have hundreds of unspent skill points, include plenty that have bought all the skills they care for. I like being able to spend them on consumables, but when I farm, I get more skill points than cash to get material for the consets.
I would enjoy something to spend the skill points on, that don't require any other investment. Perhaps consumables or summoning stones for 5 points each.

My ele has 2500+ skill points and 500+ used, some use for those 2500 would be cool since theres no way i could use them all atm. We alrdy have zaishen keys, maybe some pve equivalent buyable with skill points. Anyone blaming that it would increase grinding also thinks that zaishen keys increase grinding, so stfu.

They have their uses. Getting stuff just for free should not be one of those uses.
You get the higher amount of skill points per minute by farming, and by farming you get cash too.
That's how it works, you don't save the gold and use the points. You must use both. And farming it's not suppoerted (neither penalized) so you are not meant to get the skill points by farming, just by playing, and just by playing you get similar amounts of platinum and skill points.

Theres tons of possible way to spend skill points for:
- Minipet Rewards (125, 250, 500 points/Pet) > Purple > Gold > Green, just give the game 3 new pets, that are only obtainable this way and players have 875 Points to spent for these 3 pets
- Weapon Rewards: 10, 25, 100
10 points for a randomous Gold Weapon
25 points for a randomous Gold Weapon with all stats max
100 points for a max gold weapon of your choice with random mods
- Elite Tome-Trade
10 Points for an random Elite-tome
Consumeable Trades:
1 Point for any 3 Point Alcohol/Sweets/Party Item
Eternal Tonic-Rewards 250 Points
Some new Tonics, that are only receiveable by this way.
This way we would receive mire ways to spent our tons of unspent points for something and also the Star of Transferance would receive a new better usage
Rare Materials Trade 10 Points per piece of any rare Material of choice.
Such things would be good way to spent lots of points for imo

I agree with more uses for skill points, but not particularly with the idea. There isn't a benifit to using multiple skill points to get skills as far as I can see. In the end you'd be farming either XP or gold, and it's far easier to farm gold.

Get gold. Agree skill points are useless, they still will be even if you can buy skills with 10, because you will still have retardly many if you do legVQ/Guardian/SkillHunter/randomPvP
